R.M.S. Titanic, White Star Line Limited Release Serialized 4-inch Brass Sextant including Hardwood Case The sextant comes with a beautiful velvet lined hardwood storage and display box that has fitted cut-outs to securely hold the sextant. The front of the hardwood case has a handle and a unique front rotary clasp. The joinery on the case are all "Box" or "Finger" joints. Custom brass plaques are available for the outside of the case, inside the lid, or both. The case measures 7 inches (17.8 cm) square and 4 1/8 inches (10.5 cm) tall, and weighs 2 pounds, 5 ounces (1.0 kg). The outside of the box has a solid brass plaque engraved "RMS Titanic, White Star Line, Nautical Sextant" with the matching serial number. This is a beautiful four-inch radius solid brass reproduction of a Titanic lifeboat sextant. The index arm is engraved "White Star Line, R.M.S. Titanic" with a serial number. Only 50 of these limited edition R.M.S. Titanic sextants have been made, and each one has a unique serial number. The index mirror can be fully adjusted using three brass screws. A built-in magnifier can be swung into position to assist in reading the German Silver vernier scale. The sextant comes with a beautiful velvet-lined hardwood storage and display box that has fitted cut-outs to securely hold the sextant. |

Titanic ring-frame sextants have been made, and each one has a unique serial number. This full-sized solid brass sextant has adjustable mirrors and comes with a signed certificate of authenticity. The Rack and Pinion design has an adjustment knob that drives a pinion gear against machined teeth on the limb of the sextant to allow fine adjustment of the inclination angle. The 4-inch compass is fully gimbaled with a solid brass housing and gimbal set. The compass card is 2 3/4 inches in diameter, and the case measures 6 inches square and 4 5/8 inches tall.
