The Stanley London® 18-inch Spyglass Telescopes are available in both polished brass
and leather sheathed versions.
Either telescope provides a bright and sharp, highly magnified non-inverted (upright) image and is
2 1/8-inches (5.5 cm) in diameter and 6 5/8 inches (16.8 cm) long when collapsed.
These 12-power telescopes have four brass pipes, with the largest pipe being tapered.
A built-in sunshade extends to reduce lens flare.
When fully extended, the telescopes measure 17 5/8 inches (44.8 cm) long.
The diameter of the multi-coated objective lens is 37.25 mm.
The telescopes are solid, weighing 1 pound, 3 ounces (539 grams) for the polished brass version, and
over 1 pound, 4 ounces (578 grams) for the leather sheathed version.
Both are constructed entirely of threaded solid brass tubing and fittings
with no glued components.
The 18-inch telescope sells for $115, and the leather sheathed model sells for $125.
A beautiful felt lined solid hardwood case is available for the 18-inch telescopes for $25.
The case measures 8 3/8 inches (21.3 cm) long, 3 1/8 inches (7.9 cm) deep, 2 3/4 inches (7.0 cm) tall, and weighs 14 ounces (397 grams).
The telescopes can be custom engraved near the eyepiece with 1 - 2 lines of text, maximum 4 words per line.
Custom engraved brass plaques are available for the top, front, and inside lid of the hardwood case.
Plaques for the inside lid can be engraved with a maximum of 6 lines, 11 words per line and plaques for the front base can be engraved
with a maximum of 4 lines, 6 words per line.
When requesting engraving directly on the telescope, we suggest engraving full names rather than
monograms or initials due to the large width of the engravable area.
Note that the brass diamond-shaped inlay on the top of the box cannot be engraved.
