The large 28-inch Telescope is 2 1/2-inches (6.4 cm) in diameter and 8 5/8 inches (21.9 cm)
long when collapsed.
It is solid, weighing 2 pounds, 13 ounces (1.3 kg), and is constructed entirely of threaded
solid brass tubing and fittings with no glued components.
Sharp non-inverted (upright) images are produced by this powerful 16-power telescope that also features
four brass pipes, with the largest pipe being tapered.
A built-in sunshade extends 2 inches (5 cm) to reduce lens flare.
The telescope measures a full 28 1/2 inches (72.4 cm) when fully extended.
The optics are precision ground glass with anti-reflection coatings and the objective lens is 42 mm in diameter.
The large 28-inch Telescope can be custom engraved near the eyepiece with a maximum of two lines of text, five words per line.

The box is fully lined with dark green felt and the corners are inlaid with lighter hardwood
splines.
An oval brass plate on the top of the case is inlaid flush with the surface.
The case measures 9 3/4 inches (24.8 cm) long, 3 3/4 inches (9.5 cm) deep, and 3 3/8 inches (8.6 cm) tall.
