Stanley London® Solid Brass Forestry Clinometer Compass
Only $70.95 Includes Leather Case Gold Plated Chain $10.50
Large Hardwood Case with Hand Inlaid Compass Rose $32.95
The Stanley London® Forestry Clinometer Compass is a solid brass and copper reproduction of a medium-sized handheld Forestry Ranger's compass.
The compass can determine both the magnetic heading of an object, as well as its angle of
elevation or declination.
An azimuth heading can be determined using the front button sight and the sighting hole and scribed line in the mirror.
When the compass is placed on its side and the mirror is placed in the 45 degree position, the angle of the pendulous arm can be read
while simultaneously viewing the object.
The compass has a needle lift mechanism to protect the compass jewel when transporting.
Moving the needle lift lever activates the needle lift mechanism to lock the needle.
The compass measures 2 3/4 inches (7.0 cm) in diameter, 1 inch (2.5 cm)
thick, and weighs 12.5 ounces (354 grams).
The Forestry Compass is beautifully polished to a high luster and comes complete with a 100% leather case.
Your personalized inscription can be engraved on the front and back
of this compass.
The front of the compass can be engraved with up to 45 words and the back can hold 65 words.
We offer a solid brass pocket compass chain as an option for your compass.
The chain is specially made to be non-magnetic and will not effect the accuracy of your compass.
The chain has a clasp on one end that attaches to the fob on the pocket compass, and the other end can be attached to your pocket, belt, or button hole.
The Gold Plated Heavy Pocket Compass Chain is 14 inches (35.5 cm) overall, weighs 1.1 ounces (31 grams), and costs $10.50.
The Stanley London® Brass Forestry Clinometer Compass with leather case sells for only $70.95.
For optional storage and display case for the large pocket compass, we offer a Hardwood Case which features a handsome inlaid compass rose.
Each compass rose is unique and will have slight variations since they will be inlaid using similar hand tools to those used 200 years ago.
The Large Hardwood Box with Inlaid Compass Rose is available for an additional $32.95.
