Weems & Plath® Endurance 125 Time and Tide Wall Clock Regular $184.99, Now Only $159.99 Solid Mahogany Base Regular $78.99, Now Only $69.99 Tide clocks offer a convenient visual representation of the local high and low tides.  Simple tide clocks have a single hand that points upward for high tide and downward for low tide.  The perimeter of the tide clock has hour markings for time past and time until a low or high tide.  Higher quality clocks, like this Weems & Plath Endurance 125 Time & Tide Clock, also incorporate an accurate quartz clock. Tide clocks approximate the average time between high lunar tides: 12 hours 25 minutes per revolution.  Actual tides have an inherent lead or lag, known as the lunitidal interval, which varies at each location, so tidal clocks are set for the time when the local lunar high tide occurs. This Weems & Plath® Endurance 125 Time & Tide Clock combination quartz and tide clock movement averages the Atlantic lunar tide cycle.  The tide mechanism is calibrated for the east coast of the United States.  A red tide hand indicates the approximate high and low tides for the Atlantic Ocean.  Note that this tide clock will work for other tidal bodies of water but will need to be reset occasionally.  For example, Pacific coast users may need to adjust the tide clock weekly, as Pacific tides are irregular. The handsome easy-to-read dial, maintenance free finish and weatherproof construction make this brass tide clock one of best on the market.  The Patented Slide-n-Lock Mounting System leaves no visible mounting screws and is easily removed for adjustments and battery replacement.  The Endurance 125 Time and Tide Wall Clock features a beveled glass crystal and an O-ring seated behind glass for weatherproof construction. The Endurance 125 Time and Tide Wall Clock has a 5 7/8 inch (14.9 cm) diameter mounting bezel, a 5 inch (12.7 cm) diameter case, is 1 5/8 inches (4.1 cm) deep, and weighs 14.6 ounces (414 grams).  The highly accurate quartz movement operates on a single AA battery (included).  The Endurance 125 Time and Tide Wall Clock is backed by Weems & Plath's Lifetime Warranty. A beautiful mahogany wood base is available as an option to display your Endurance 125 Time and Tide Wall Clock on a mantle, shelf, or desk.  The handsome mahogany wood base is crafted from solid North American hardwood with a rich mahogany finish.  The unique Weems & Plath Slide-n-Lock™ mounting plate comes attached to the inside back of mahogany wood base making for simple installation.  The single mahogany base with back is 10 3/8 inches (26.4 cm) wide, 7 3/8 inches (18.7 cm) tall, 2 3/4 inches (7 cm) deep, and weighs 1 pound, 11 ounces (771 grams).  Note that this mahogany wood base only fits Endurance 125 Series Weems & Plath instruments.
